Belle Phromchanya is an independent designer, visual researcher, and filmmaker based in Amsterdam. The quality of Phromchanya’s creative practice and work lies in a playful mix of subjective expression and fact-based data on contemporary issues. With an interest in cultural identity, political memes, and power shifts, she uses visual communication as a means of responding to the subject matters. In 2013 she obtained MA Design at the Sandberg Instituut. In the past years, her work have been presented, among others, at De Appel Arts Centre (Amsterdam), Faena Art Center (Buenos Aires), Beijing Design Week (Beijing), World Design Capital (Cape Town), Dongdaemun Design Plaza (Seoul), and Bangkok CityCity Gallery (Bangkok).
