Saskia van Stein is director of the International Architecture Biƫnnale Rotterdam. She's also head of MA The Critical Inquiry Lab at the Design Academy Eindhoven. The program researches and questions the role of design in relation to the structures and systems underpinning contemporary society, its political, economic, social and cultural constructs, and how they resonate within local and global contexts.

In the video below, Saskia talks about the questions she and her students investigate. We are also shown video's of different artists, which she analyses.

On June 9 2021, ACED organised Designalism: Design + Journalism, a live talk show about the intersection of design and journalism. Watch the full show on our YouTube channel. This evening was in collaboration with Beeld en Geluid Den Haag.
